About Us
Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of Washington joins the Washington State SNAP-Ed program as a new local implementing agency in FFY21. OIC is a nonprofit Community Action Agency established in 1971, and strives to eliminate unemployment, poverty, illiteracy, and racism so all people can live with greater human dignity. Through innovative collaborations and partnerships, OIC looks forward to many more years of making its vision for the underserved populations a working reality through the Valley. OIC of Washington’s SNAP-Ed project “Beyond the Box” is an expansion of its Nutrition and Health Services programs and take place with partner food pantries.

- Train the Trainer approach to working with food pantries. With SNAP-Ed’s support, we will enhance our 13 subcontracted food banks sites by providing training, demonstrations, and information.
