They also last longer and often cost less. Use frozen or canned veggies instead of fresh ones in this recipe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For canned vegetables, look for the words &#8220;low-sodium&#8221; or &#8220;no salt added&#8221; on the label. Form into 12 large meatballs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add meatballs to broth mixture and simmer 30 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add vegetables. Cook until meatballs are cooked through or temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit, and rice and vegetables are tender.
