Around the Table & Around the Table – Nourishing Families

Introduction to the Curriculum

Around the Table is an interactive, learner-centered curriculum choice for nutrition educators bringing programs to low-income audiences throughout the United States. The curriculum is intentionally flexible; care is taken to ensure educators retain control over the type of activity used to meet the stated outcomes.

Around the Table is an evidence-based curriculum designed for a socially interactive, hands-on nutrition workshop series with youth and young adults. Youth cook and eat together and learn holistic practices that guide them toward greater resilience and nutritional well-being.

Around the Table: Nourishing Families is an evidence-based curriculum is designed for leading a nutrition workshop series with parents and guardians. Participants learn how to apply basic nutrition concepts and holistic strategies for good health, navigating the food environment, and feeding their children.

All educators must attend a training before delivering a series of Around the Table. Training information can be found on the Leah’s Pantry training calendar.
