Evaluation Coordinator
Nora Downs (she/her) joined the SNAP-Ed evaluation team in 2016. She is a Registered Dietitian and holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington. As an evaluator, her goal is to balance rigor and feasibility to develop robust evaluations that provide actionable information. Prior to pursuing public health nutrition evaluation, Nora taught nutrition education classes and worked on local public health evaluation projects. Nora enjoys baking cookies, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family.

Shelby Winters
SNAP-Ed Evaluation and Data Visualization Specialist
Shelby Winters (she/her) joined the SNAP-Ed Evaluation team March 2022. Her early career background was in higher education institutional research. She pivoted into the public health in 2022 years ago (and plans to stay!). She is a certified Tableau Desktop Specialist, was a recent GIS training participant in the Children’s Environmental Health Initiatives (CEHI) training program for State Health Departments and is currently dabbling in PowerBi. She has assisted on mapping and analysis projects for both SNAP-Ed and Washington WIC. Outside of data visualization, her daily work includes programmatic evaluation and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.

Ankita Henry
SNAP-Ed Evaluation Specialist
Ankita Henry (she/her) joined the SNAP-Ed evaluation team in September 2023. Prior to working at the Washington State Dept. of Health, she worked for a healthcare system and was a CDC Fellow. Ankita’s professional interests include food systems, chronic disease prevention, and socio-contextual determinants of health. In her time off, she enjoys tending to her plants and exploring local parks with her dog, Willow.
