Check out the Use Food Well website from the Washington State Department of Ecology. There are a ton of great resources including a Meal Planning Guide, Shop Smart Guide (PDF), and Food Storage Guide!

For those interested in making your own materials, see the Use Food Well Brand Guide (PDF) for font, color formulas, example pages and more. Check the Resources section of the website regularly as they continue to add new and translated materials.

For Food Waste Prevention Week (April 7-13, 2025), a good place to start is the Use Food Well Partner Toolkit (PDF) which has key talking points, sample social media posts, and a newsletter template. It also has links to Washington State Department of Ecology’s social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter) and hashtags (#UseFoodWellWA, #FoodWasteAddsUP, #FWPW, #FoodWastePreventionWeek).
