The Washington Kids Ready to Learn Act of 2018 requires high-needs public schools to implement a Breakfast After the Bell (BAB) Program beginning School Year 2019-20. Schools with at least 70% of students eligible for Free or Reduced-Price Meals are required to implement a BAB program in the 2019-20 School Year.
An information webinar about BAB took place Friday, April 19, 2019. Folks from OSPI and United Way King County explained the program and how SNAP-Ed providers can help spread the word about the importance of breakfast to health and school success.
