Mac and Cheesy Veggies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen vegetables
  • 1 pound pasta, uncooked
  • 1 cup low-fat cheese (grated or shredded)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • If using fresh or canned veggies, add during step 4 when mixing.

Directions

  1. Boil water in a cooking pot. Add the pasta. Turn down the heat to medium-low; cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. 5 minutes before pasta is done cooking, add frozen veggies. Once done, pour pasta, veggies, and water into colander to drain.
  3. Add cheese, milk, and butter to cooking pot until cheese melts.
  4. Return cooked, drained pasta and veggies back to cooking pot, mix, and serve.
