Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sugar
- 1 piece Ginger (1-inch, thinly sliced or minced)
- 1/4 cup Vinegar (white, unseasoned rice, or apple cider)
- Black Pepper to taste
- 2 Cucumbers (very thinly sliced)
- 1 Onion small (thinly sliced)
- 2 Tomatoes (sliced)

- This Filipino-style salad gets its unique flavor from fish sauce.
- Fish sauce is naturally salty, so no need to add extra salt!
- Cucumbers can be found all year round but are best between May to August.
Directions
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Combine fish sauce, sugar, ginger, vinegar and pepper in a bowl.
- Rinse vegetables under cool running water.
- Add sauce to cucumbers, onion and tomatoes. Refrigerate at lease 30 minutes before serving.
