Simple Salad Dressing

  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • Herbs/spices of your choice
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Combine oil and vinegar. Shake or stir quickly to make sure they do not separate.
  3. Add a small amount of your favorite herbs, spices, salt, and pepper.
  4. Taste the salad dressing and add more flavors until it tastes good to you.

  • Salad dressing is easy to make at home! Try different spice combinations until you find one you like best.
  • You can use whatever oil and vinegar you have on hand or whatever is your favorite flavor. Anything goes in this simple recipe!
  • Some fun ingredient combinations are:
    • Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper
    • Sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, salt, pepper
    • Avocado oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper
