Tongan Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 Mango ripe (peeled and cubed)
  • 1 Pineapple Small, ripe, about 4 cups (peeled and cubed)
  • 2 Bananas (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 Lime juiced, about 2 tablespoons
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut unsweetened, dried, shredded

  • Tonga is a country made up of over 100 islands in the South Pacific.
  • Mango, pineapples, coconut and bananas are common fruits found in Tonga.
  • Substitute fruits in this salad for other fresh fruits like watermelon, papaya or oranges.

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cut fruit, lime juice and coconut. Gently stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Serve immediately, or cover well and chill up to 8 hours.
