Tortilla Roll-Up

  • 4 7-inch whole wheat tortillas
  • 8 tablespoons nonfat cream cheese
  • 2 cups chopped romaine
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • ½ cup chopped bell pepper (any color!)
  • ½ cup chopped cucumber
  • ¼ cup canned diced green chilies
  • ¼ cup sliced olives

  1. Spread 2 tablespoons of cream cheese on each tortilla.
  2. Add equal amounts of each vegetable to tortillas.
  3. Roll up the tortilla tightly to keep all the filling inside.

These tortilla roll-ups are colorful with lots of different textures for kids to try. Kids will enjoy trying to roll up the tortilla to keep everything inside. They will enjoy eating the snack even more!

Easy Tasks

  • Gather ingredients and equipment.
  • Wash fresh foods, drain, and pat dry.

  • Measure vegetables and place in bowls.
  • Open cream cheese package.
  • Drain olives in a colander.

  • Chop the vegetables. Be sure to use appropriate safety knives depending on the age of your kids.
  • Roll up the tortillas and serve.
